Joe and Diana Stein collection of San Miguel County land records, 1803-1993.

Summary: Collection consists primarily of the originals and photocopies of land records pertaining to San Miguel del Bado, San Jose, and Pecos, New Mexico (1803-1914). Subjects of note are the Pecos Pueblo Grant (1869-1914), and the San Miguel del Bado Grant (1910). Included is Frank Springer's opinion on the matter of title of the Pecos Grant (1886). Also included are the correspondence of the Steins with Mr. and Mrs. David Petitt and Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters (1982-1993), Thomas A. Parker's engineering notes (1931), and architectural drawings for the construction of Carriage House and for the restoration of the Hedgecock Building (1977) both in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
